# Gershinen Shanding

> Data scientist and founder based in Abuja, Nigeria, with six years of professional experience across public health data, economic analysis, and applied AI. Founder & CEO of GERANDCO Technology (https://gerandco.tech) and co-founder & CTO of Vetaly (https://vetaly.ng), a veterinary digital health platform. Writes publicly about applied AI, data quality, and data governance in African institutional contexts.

Gershinen Shanding ("Shanding") holds a BSc in Computer Science (University of Jos), is completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics (National Open University of Nigeria), and holds a Master's in Data Science from the Nigerian Defence Academy (2026). He is a Registered Member of the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), and holds a Certificate in Applied Data Science (Honors) from WorldQuant University and a Nanodegree in Data Analytics from Udacity. His current roles are Founder & CEO of GERANDCO Technology, co-founder & CTO of Vetaly, AI Consultant at NGEX (part-time), and data science facilitator at Seedbuilders Innovation Hub. Prior roles include Python Data Scientist at eHealth4everyone, Data Scientist at Data-Lead Africa, and Data Analyst at NGEX (an earlier, separate stint).

- AREAI / Real-Agent: A GERANDCO Technology (https://gerandco.tech) in-house product — a conversational AI assistant for real estate workflows, built on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), with a full technical installation guide. - Vetaly (https://vetaly.ng): A veterinary digital health platform covering veterinarian connections, health record tracking, and antimicrobial-use (AMU) surveillance. Gershinen is co-founder and CTO, owning its technical platform and product/data analytics instrumentation.
- OneAgent: A full-stack Nigerian personal income tax (PIT) filing and financial advisory web app implementing FIRS graduated tax bands, built in React.
- Candleweb crypto trading engine: A Claude-powered crypto trading decision engine with a custom library of 439 technical indicators across 13 families, orchestrated with Agno and served via FastAPI.
